The Héraud family has been making hand-crafted wine in Clisson for five generations. The subsoil here, heavy with granite and magnesium-rich gabbro, is vital to the terroir that characterises the best of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine and Clisson.

In 2022, Gwenael and Romain Heraud succeeded their parents and took over wine production efforts. They pursue the family philosophy of great respect and little intervention. After a four-year conversion effort, the vineyards are now Certified Organic. They are also one of the only houses in Muscadet with several red grapes, including several experimental varieties.
